Getting Here

Indian Grinding Rock is northeast of Stockton in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is southeast of Sacramento.

Take State Highway 88 East through Jackson to the town of Pine Grove. Turn left onto Pine Grove-Volcano Road. The main entrance to the park is about a mile and a half down on the left. (Take the second entrance; the first leads to the campground).
